Tapri

Dinner experience at Tapri was great. The owner was very friendly and went above and beyond to cater to some of our requests. Service from the wait staff was also very cordial. Food was delicious with good portion size. Ambiance is bright and colorful.

I recently took my entire family to Tapri in Woodridge, Illinois, during their visit from India, and it turned out to be an enjoyable and unique experience. The restaurant is quite cozy and has a small, cafe-like vibe, but the quality of food and warm service give it potential to become a favorite spot for Indian cuisine in the area. We started with avocado bhel and paneer tikka, which made for great appetizers. The paneer was incredibly juicy and well-seasoned, a treat for everyone. The avocado bhel was an interesting twist on the classic dish—it was fresh, crunchy, and flavorful, though not overly spicy. This unique addition to the menu shows Tapri's creativity and adaptability to local tastes. For the main course, we ordered mutton biryani and Hakka noodles. The biryani was nicely cooked, fragrant, and had a comforting, homestyle taste that everyone enjoyed. However, the star of the meal was the Hakka noodles. With just the right amount of spice and a perfect texture, it was deliciously satisfying, and the portion size was generous, too. The staff made the experience even more special. They were very welcoming and humble, checking in with us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm and attentive service added a personal touch that is rare to find. In all, Tapri combines authentic Indian flavors with a touch of creativity, and I’d highly recommend it for a cozy family outing. Whether you’re there for the classic dishes or something new, the quality and atmosphere make Tapri a gem that’s definitely worth a visit

The food was excellent. They customized a jackfruit dish as a spicy version for us which was amazing. Their cheese garlic naan and chettinaad gravy was out of the world. Loved their desserts too

From the pictures, I got the impression that Tapri would be an upscale place and would charge exorbitantly for small portions. It was anything but that. True to a bistro feel, it is a small establishment with a cozy vibe. Browsing the electronic menu and ordering was a breeze. The food was fantastic. I ordered way too much because I got excited about the authentic flavours. Mango Lassi was not too sweet, didn’t feel artificial, just perfect! Chicken Korma was succulent, rich, creamy, mild flavoured. Cheese naan was ok, would have been amazing if it were cheese garlic. But the star was Irani Chai. And nothing was overpriced. I will go there again.

Such a cute little find!!!! The food was awesome. Service was great!!! Presentation on point!! And food came out timely. We tried for apps the chai (so yummy) Avacado bhel, mushroom haleem kichdi arancini, paneer bao tacos (THE BEST) chicken tikka, paneer chettinadu, and lasty the sticky date pudding (could not stop eatting)!!! I can see exactly why the rating is 4.9, must try spot and one to visit again!! Only down side is slightly small so when door opens you get cold :(

This is a fantastic new find! Just opened recently, great ambience, food tastes awesome and looks just as good which is a bonus! Love the story that the Chef had to share about his journey and passion for food! His inspiration comes across so well with all his dishes! I also like the smaller menu with great focus on each dish! I will definitely visit again and highly recommend this one!

Absolutely the gem in terms of indian food in the burbs! We went to try out this place last night for the first time and this wont be our last for sure! This is a cozy, chic style eatery with precise menu, delicious food that hits the right taste buds!

Went here with my mom. We enjoyed the ambiance and food a lot. We tried a variety of Indian and fusion dishes. Service was prompt and excellent too. Looking forward to trying some more dishes next time!
